One of the later and more comprehensive county directories. Slater’s were the successor to the Pigot’s directories, and follow a format very similar to those, and to the new Kelly’s Post Office Directories.

Covers all towns and villages in the county, with detailed information about each place, its churches, schools, institutions, etc. Large lists of people with trades, from the candle makers through to the doctors, etc.
