A comprehensive picture of life in Essex during the 1800’s. Includes topographical, statistical and historical information. Such as the lead coffin which when opened contained the body of a man perfectly pickled and preserved, (Page 344), so they soldered the thing up again and put him back, maybe he is still down there!
