1862 Sheffield & 20 Miles Round White's Directory

The copy used for scanning is more or less disbound with some of the pages being a little warped and/or skew printed and/or suffering from fading or ink bleed - though all are legible.

A small piece has been cut out of the Index to Places & the bottom corner of the preface page has been torn off, removing part of the advertisement printed there.

As with many of these directories, the original map is missing. Otherwise the directory is complete.

The size of the directory is such that we have had to publish it over two CDs. The introductory Advertisement, Preface and Index pages and the Appendix, Errata etc from the end of the main directory are included on both CDs. Otherwise the contents are as detailed below:-

CD 1 contains the Sheffield Directories and the Advertisement pages.
CD 2 contains the directories for Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Yorkshire towns & villages, Nottinghamshire towns & villages, Lincolnshire (Gainsborough) and Derbyshire towns & villages.
