Welcome to my stand at the Parish Chest. My aim is to offer researchers a wide and interesting range of material at an affordable cost.
Many of the directories and lists republished here are scarce and found in only a few specialist libraries. Material ranges from Kelly’s Directories, to Military lists of Officers and rare documents such as a Boer War intelligence report detailing farms and owners near Pretoria, South Africa; and Isleworth-Syons Peace, a detailed agreement made in the English Civil War between the Earl of Northumberland and his tenants [about 300 listed]. A fascinating insight into the rules people lived by in those days.

Contiguous Parishes show lists of adjoining Parishes making research easier in an unfamiliar area. Available in a booklet for most English & Welsh counties.
