A flourishing society, Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology has members not just from all over the county, but from all over the world. Although run by volunteers, there is a small nucleus of paid staff who assist with the various events as well as the administration behind the scenes.
With the Headquarters being based in the oldest synagogue in the British Isles, Jews Court in Lincoln, there is an exceptional range of books about Lincolnshire to be found. This includes a second-hand section and a reference library, where the knowledge of Lincolnshire history and archaeology of the county abounds.
Members can benefit from a quarterly publication as well as an annual journal, not to mention papers that cover the series, History of Lincolnshire.
