Lincolnshire Past

The Society is a thriving organisation with members from all walks of life, and from all parts of the historic county, from the Humber to the Wash, as well as from further afield. The Society is volunteer run, with a small team of dedicated paid staff helping with the administration of the many and varied activities.

The Society’s HQ, Jews’ Court, is a significant building in the heart of historic Lincoln where we run a bookshop with the most complete range of Lincolnshire books to be found anywhere. There is also a general second-hand section. We also have a reference library on Lincolnshire topics and we have considerable expertise in the history and archaeology of the county. We publish a quarterly magazine and an annual journal as well the History of Lincolnshire series and other works on aspects of the county.
