This map was originally published by Bemrose & Sons Ltd of Irongate, Derby and covers the area from Derby Union Workhouse in the west to Spondon in the east and from Darley Abbey in the north to Boulton in the south.

It was originally drawn at 6 inches to the mile and was scanned to the CD at 200 dpi as a series of overlapping tiles to ensure complete coverage The map suffers from some fading, staining, damage at the folds and creasing with minor loss of detail but is substantially complete.

There is some minor blurring at the edges of some scans but the tiling ensures as far as possible that all areas are covered. The 9 page street index is printed on the reverse of the original map.
