In this County of Worcestershire 1611 by John Speed there is a plan of Worcester in the top right corner, along the side of this is a legend containing all the streets, towns and churches.

The left side is bordered with coats of arms and the title surrounded by decorative strapwork. Along the left hand side are the coats of arms of the families of the Earls of Worcester and in the bottom right hand corner is a depiction and description of the battle of Evesham that took place in 1265.

The map features the Malvern Hills and Forests of Wyre as well as other hills, woods and rivers running through the county.

First published in 1611, today the work of John Speed is regarded highly by ardent map collectors, historians and artists, due to the intricate nature and artistic beauty of the maps.
