The objective of our Group is to provide a forum for members to discuss and provide mutual help to each other. We cater for a broad band of interest in all aspects of Family History irrespective of County or Country.

We recently formed in 1996 and our activities are being expanded as members needs are assessed. Prospective members will find other members at a similar stage in their researches whether they are beginners or have some years experience in Family History.

Subject to demand our committee organises visits to places of interest to members such as the Public Records Office at Kew, The Family Records Centre at Myddelton St., London and the annual Society of Genealogists Family History Fair.

A Library has been formed to aid members by procuring books, CD-ROMS, fiches etc. for reference and short loans. We have members with computer expertise who are willing to help and advise others who may be thinking of using one for their research or are having difficulty.
