We have produced an index of Cornish related probated wills and Administrations for the years 1858 to 1870. We are continuing in increments of five years. Extracting continues for 1871 to 1875.

We have split the index into two CDs ‘A – L’ and ‘M – Z’. Each CD contains an index of approximately 2,500 entries, taken from records held at the Probate Office at Bodmin, Cornwall. Each of these entries contain the name, date of probate (this can be many years after the death date), residence (broken down by farm name if given and village or town name), death date, names of persons sworn, (the majority of entries have more than one person sworn), the occupations of the persons sworn, their residence, and their relationship to the deceased when given.

The total number of surnames on each CD exceeds 5000. Due to the unique nature of the multiple spellings of Eudy and Udy (which span both CDs) these entries are on both CDs.
