A transcript of all the entries that mention paupers by name. Includes a map of the Poor Law Union, glossary of terms, relevant Acts of Parliament and a full surname index.

The book gives an insight into the organisation of the Workhouse and the system of relief that the Guardians administered. The first surviving minute book begins in 1845, and contains many marriage notices for couples marrying by special licence, usually in non-conformist places of worship.
