Surrey Marriages Index to 1837 4th edition 2010

This enlarged Index of over 340,000 Marriages is complete for rural Surrey.

It includes over 9,000 ‘Stray’ marriages of Surrey people in other counties and more than 166,000 marriages from Metropolitan Surrey and Middlesex, of which (at least) 60,000 from Metropolitan registers are new in this edition.

The Index is now almost complete for metropolitan Surrey with the exception of some earlier records for the following parishes which are not included:

Battersea, St Mary 1559 - 1802
Lambeth, St Mary 1754 - 1822; 1824 - 1824; 1829 - 1831 Newington, St Mary 1561 - 1631; 1640 - 46 (register gap); 1813 - 1830 (in IGI)
St John Horsleydown 1792 - 1798
Southwark, St Saviour 1539 - 1570 (other dates up to 1837 for the above mentioned parishes are included)

The Index also includes over 17,000 marriages in 50 Middlesex parishes between 1813-1837.
