Ref: LIN-029C
Supplied by Lincolnshire FHS. In 1641/2 every man over the age of 18, was required to take an oath protesting his allegiance to the Protestant faith. The returns for Lincolnshire have been completely transcribed, for this CD, with the exception of many examples of the oath itself, this is given in full only once. County coverage is good, with Kesteven being the least represented area. A few returns include women, some give occupations or relationships. All are different in some way. A list of surnames, with their variant spellings is also on this CD. In PDF format. Adobe Acrobat reader version 6 or higher (not supplied with the CD) required.
