This series of publications have been transcribed from documents consisting primarily of previously unpublished ‘Phillimore Marriages.’

These original documents were purchased and are owned by the Institute of Heraldic & Genealogical Studies, who have kindly offered them to the P.R.T. Society for publication.

In most cases the incumbent of the parish compiled the original transcripts for Mr. W.P.W. Phillimore & Mr. F. Johnson of 124 Chancery Lane, London, the majority of which were carried out during the last quarter of the 19th century and the first quarter of the 20th century.
