Produced by Glamorgan Family History Society. Penrhys is on the hill top between the two Rhondda Valleys with Tylorstown in the Rhondda Fach to one side and Ystrad in the Rhondda Fawr to the other. The Cemetery is situated in the County Borough of Rhondda Cynon Taff, in the old parish of Ystradyfodwg. The first burial was in 1927 and the cemetery is still in use today. The transcription was carried out by David Jones of Gelli Rhondda using initially, information from Treorchy Library, and later the actual Penrhys Cemetery registers. David has kindly donated his database to the Glamorgan Family History Society. It covers the years 1927 - 2000 The information on the disc is the original data, extracted from the database, and a transcription of a monument erected when bodies from Nebo Chapel were transferred to the Cemetery.
