Surrey (Metropolitan) Index of Burials 2010

On this CD, a total of 147,975 burials have been indexed, 139,702 (94%) being in the Metropolitan Surrey Area and 8,273 in the Rural Surrey Area.

The reason for the Rural Surrey content is twofold. Firstly, included are some small non-conformist Burials Registers which were accidentally omitted from the second edition of the Surrey Burials CD 10 and secondly, since that edition was published, new material for Rural Surrey became available. Rather than wait for the third edition of CD 10 to be published, (not before the end of 2011), it was decide to include that information on this new CD 18, Metropolitan Surrey Burials Index (including some Rural Parishes).
(A future edition of CD 18 may not include this Rural Surrey material.).
