Between 1979 and 1986 the former Sussex Genealogical Centre under the general editorship of Michael J. Burchall issued a number of important publications of Sussex genealogical and local history interest which have been out of print for many years.

This CD is a facsimile of the original documents with an overall index to articles in all published issues of the Centre's quarterly magazine, Sussex Genealogist and Local Historian 1979-96 (Vols. 1-7), Family History Annual 1986 and ten Occasional Papers concerning Sussex poor Law, Catholics, Hearth Tax, Diarists Etc.

Many international, national and locally well-known genealogists and historians contributed to these publications which cover a wide range of subjects of special Sussex interest including original records, source information and some provocative articles.

The publications are an archive of information covering all aspects of family and local history in Sussex and will be of particular interest to those researchers who have only taken up research in the last two decades.
