Worcestershire Parish Record Society

Each record is transcribed from the earliest date possible for the Parish concerned until no later than 1850. Transcriptions of many Worcestershire parish registers can be purchased here, and this small group of volunteers aim to make the material as widely available as possible to those researching their family history in the county.

The parish records contain details of baptisms, marriages and burials, plus notable events in some parishes such as the day in 1668 when the parishioners of Pensax conducted a “diligent survaey” of the home of William Wiatt.

Before buying the full transcription if you are not entirely certain as to which parish your ancestors had links, a Parish Register Surname Summary may help identify the relevant parish. You will then be able to decide which full transcription(s) to buy. Once you have your full Parish transcription, you may also order a copy of the image of the relevant page with the entry in which you are interested.
