The Leighton Buzzard Baptists, having failed to secure premises in North Street, received a donation of £200 from Mr. D. Deverell of Soulbury for securing land in the Chelsea area of Linslade on which to build a chapel. The Bethel Baptist Chapel in New Street was duly erected and opened for public worship on April 19th 1843. A Sabbath School was commenced in July of the same year. This booklet contains a transcription of those minutes 1843 to 1912 concerned with church membership found in the Church Book deposited at the Centre for Buckinghamshire Studies together with a list of members received between 1843 and 1920.
