Buriton Village Booklet - Print

Along with a useful map showing Buriton and its contiguous settlements, are descriptions of the places of worship, past and present. The village had interesting connections with Hampshire dissenting families.

Surnames of Buriton inhabitants are sprinkled throughout, from school master and inn keeper to landowner, while sources as diverse as Hearth Taxes, Enclosure Awards and Trade Directories are explored. Particularly interesting are references to the public houses of Buriton.
