Carrington Papers - Zip Download

The Carrington Family held land which was compulsory purchased to build the Liverpool-Preston railway line through Ormskirk. We have been allowed to photograph all the documents (including maps) and develop abstracts. They start with Title held by Thomas Scarisbrick 31/05/1751 and end at 31/01/1977. There are also some similar documents for Southport Road (north of the Parish Church) about 1824 to 1986. Word 97 format, usable on most current devices & JPEG photos (322 images). Zip file: 360 MB
