Greatham Village Booklet - Print

One of the most important connections is between the Army and Greatham; being in close proximity to Bordon and Longmoor, the area has been associated with the Services for over a hundred years. If you have a military connection with the area, this booklet contains some very helpful information.

Along with a useful map showing Greatham and its contiguous settlements, are descriptions of places of worship, past and present.

Over fifty surnames of Greatham past inhabitants are scattered throughout, from school master and inn keeper to landowner; while sources as diverse as Hearth Taxes, Enclosure Awards and Trade Directories are explored. If you have a particular interest in the Cheshire Homes Foundation for disabled people, you will find useful reference material in this booklet.
