Kings Worthy Village Booklet - Print

Along with a useful map showing Kings Worthy and its contiguous settlements, are descriptions of places of worship, past and present. Of particular interest are details on the non-conformist congregations

This booklet contains the surnames of over a hundred Kings Worthy past inhabitants, from school master and inn keeper to landowner; and sources as diverse as Hearth Taxes, Enclosure Awards and Trade Directories are explored. The Hampshire Records Office references are extremely useful and the booklet’s author, Roy Montgomery, has even unearthed a record listing households in the village in 1749! Whatever your connection with Kings Worthy, this booklet provides rich pickings.
