Kingsclere Village Booklet - Print

Along with a useful map showing Kingsclere and its contiguous settlements, are descriptions of the places of worship, past and present. Of particular interest are details on the non-conformist congregations, where a long history of dissent is revealed.

Over a hundred surnames of Kingsclere past inhabitants are included in this booklet, from school master and inn keeper to landowner; from sources as diverse as Hearth Taxes, Enclosure Awards and Trade Directories. Were your ancestors occupied in the milling industry or involved in the training of racehorses?

Whether or not you have a family history connection, this booklet is a very interesting read.
