Lichfield Diocese Marriage Licence Bonds and Allegations 1733-1754 - USB

This collection is an index of the bonds and allegations for all of Derbyshire and Staffordshire, most of Warwickshire, and half of Shropshire - the old diocesan area.  There are nearly 39,000 marriage partners on over 19,000 documents.  The documents can lead to a missing marriage as some record marriage place at local private chapels with no known records.  Some parishes did a "roaring trade" in marriages by licence, too!
