Oh dear! It would seem that summer and all the glorious hot weather we have enjoyed has abandoned us and this morning, it feels quite chilly. Never mind as I shall do the best I can to bring a little ray of sunshine into your day with this newsletter.

I often get emails asking how quickly I can write the newsletters and how do I think of things to write about. Well, as you know, I love to chatter and I just write about all the happenings here. As Frank says, I could talk for England given the chance, which is why he always edits the newsletter so I do not bore you all to tears!

We are in the process of having a new web site designed for Parish Chest, so that is quite exciting. I have seen the drafts and apart from some tweaking here and there, it is almost good to go.

The turkey breeding season has finished for this year, but we are being kept very busy digging over, levelling and seeding the turkey breeding pens. I am still writing the blog for Cornwall Turkeys, Click Here so if you are not completely sick of my prattle, you can always pop over there.

Frank has also been busy in the polytunnel and we actually harvested our very first crop of new potatoes earlier this week. Being on a diet, I was unable to have any of the spuds, but Frank said, whilst grinning from ear to ear, that they were delicious. It is just not fair that Frank can eat anything he likes and never gain an ounce and I only have to look at something and gain pounds! There is no justice!

We go on holiday next month, so I have been dieting in earnest and finally managed to attain my target weight. The last few pounds were particularly stubborn, but with the help of my egg diet, they have now departed. I feel great too and because I cannot quite believe it, I keep taking sneaky glances in the mirror.

I confess that I am really looking forward to our holiday - lots of sunshine, no housework, no cooking or dirty dishes and being waited on hand and foot. Now that is what I call a holiday!

I have just received an email from Jan of Genealogy Specialists who says,"The power of the Internet! Our membership is still rising nicely and it is no little thanks to Parish Chest. We have had a fair number of new members remark - both on the open forum and privately - that they have found us through your newsletter. So, many thanks to you and Frank at Parish Chest from Doug and I at Genealogy Specialists Click Here (TOP DOG) for mentioning us. Please also pass on our thanks to anyone who reads your newsletter and spreads the word about us. It is much appreciated."
