The parish of Bedworth owes much to its benefactor, Nicholas Chamberlaine. It is small in area but has a large population. The parish church is in the main town and there are many nonconformist chapels too.
Prior to the advent of coal, the parish was mainly agricultural and then a ribbon-weaving centre. Today Bedworth is a commuter town for larger nearby towns and cities.
This booklet looks at many aspects of the parish - the ancient administrative unit that governed life - which NNWFHS trusts will enable family historians to better understand the parish and place in which their forebears may have lived or visited.
