A transcription of the surviving birth (1836-1913) and death (1836-1848 and 1866-1913) registers for the Saffron Walden Poor Law Union.  The Saffron Walden Poor Law Union was formed on 6th April 1835 and originally comprised the parishes of Arkesden, Ashdon, Chrishall, Clavering, Debden, Elmdon, Great Chesterford, Great Sampford, Hempstead, Langley, Littlebury, Little Chesterford, Little Sampford, Newport, Quendon, Radwinter, Rickling, Saffron Walden, Strethall, Wendens Ambo, Wenden Lofts, Wicken Bonhunt, Widdington and Wimbish [all Essex].
