This transcription contains a miscellany of records for the Buckinghamshire parish of Chenies which is situated about four miles east of Amersham, adjacent to the county border with Hertfordshire.  Amongst the records included are Bastardy Bonds, Apprentice Certificates, Settlement Certificates and Examinations and Removal Orders for the period 1716-1802, a Land Tax Assessment of 1800, a Census Return of 1821, a Poor Rate Assessment of 1825, a Surveyor's Rate Assessment of 1830 and the census taken in 1841.
