This file contains a miscellany of records for the adjacent Buckinghamshire parishes of Hartwell and Stone, which are situated on the Oxford road two or three miles west of Aylesbury.  Amongst the records included for both parishes are a Subsidy Roll of 1626, a Poll Tax Return of 1660, a List of Inhabitants dated 1730, a List of Freeholders of 1780 and Militia Ballot Lists for 1796.  Also included are a Window Tax Assessment for Stone dated 1780 and a Militia Ballot List of 1806 for Hartwell.
