This file contains a miscellany of records for the parish of Saint Peter in the East in the City of Oxford.  The parish lies on the eastern side of the City and includes part of High Street, Longwall Street, King Street, Merton Street, New College Lane and Magdalen Bridge.  Amongst the records included are a Poll Tax Return of 1694, Licensed Victuallers of 1703 and 1754, Poor Rates for 1784, 1794 and 1814, the 1821 Census, Voters Lists of 1846/7 and 1856/7, a volume containing tombstone inscriptions and alterations made to them from 1851 to 1858 and a Register of Confirmations 1841 to 1859.
