The People of Wooburn - Volume One

This booklet contains a miscellany of records for the Buckinghamshire parish of Wooburn which is situated about four miles east of High Wycombe.  As well as Churchwarden's Rate Assessments for 1700 and 1747 the booklet also contains a Surveyor's Rate Assessment of 1768 and the census taken in 1801.  There is a map of the parish showing the various hamlets, a number of illustrations and a brief description of the papermaking industry with which this parish was long associated.
